JDHSGrads.com on Google Earth
Step One: Download Google Earth.
Step Two: Start Google Earth.
Step Three: Add JDHSGrads.com data by going to the "Add" menu and choosing "Network Link".
Step Four: In the New Network Link dialog box, enter whatever you want in the "Name" box (JDHSGrads.com, for example) and enter http://www.jdhsgrads.com/google_earth.php in the "Location" box.
Once you've done that, you should see a new entry under "My Places" called "JDHSGrads.com" (or whatever you entered for "Name"). If you open the new entry, you'll see a list of countries and the number of members from each country in parentheses. Open a country and you'll see cities or states/provinces - if you see states or provinces, opening those will list all cities within that area with JDHSGrads.com members. When you're zoomed out, you just get pins where there are members. Zooming in gives you the names of the city and how many members are there.
Clicking on a pin will bring up a small window with a links that brings you to the JDHSGrads.com page showing the members in that city.
Another tip - if you click on a city name in the left navigation panel, the Earth will spin around to bring that city into view.
One caveat - sometimes when you close Google Earth and reopen it, it won't load up the JDHSGrads.com data. You'll have to delete it and then re-add it, using Steps Two and Three.
