Okay, so I think it's time to check in with each and every one of my 1985 classmates to see how everyone is doing in life, since we last saw each other in Juneau at the Class of 1985 reunion in 2005. I know I'm turning 41 this year(although I still feel about 20-ish). I also know that growing up in Juneau, AK was a completely unique and beautiful (although challenging at times) experience that we can all hold close to our hearts. I moved to Juneau from Bremerton, WA when I was six years old. I wouldn't want to change my childhood for anyting in the world. Running thru the beautiful Alaskan woods, skiing at Eaglecrest and swimming in the glacier water are very memoriable times in my childhood. Even being a teenage pregnant mom at 16 and going thru my junior year at JDHS pregnant and eventually finishing high school there with a beautiful baby are very memorable xperiences for me. Wha are also very vivid memorable experiences are how the Juneau community embraced me during a very vulnerable time in my life. I thank all of you and my wonderful family members for that. I have many, many more Juneau childhood memories I won't bother you with. If you were there, you know what they are. If you weren't, you probably have your own memories. As I grew older and headed to high school, having both my valley, town and Douglas friends with me as I embarked on a new phase of my life known as my sophomore year was critical. Being a "Juneau-ite" was a most memorable, precious time in my life that I am honored to have.
